Notes from Planning Committee Meeting 3-26-07

 

Phase 1 – Macedonia Christian Academy + kitchen + Fellowship Hall

 

Pre-school – Twelve classrooms 35' x 20 ' each for a total of 700 sq feet of usable classroom space giving a total building

 space with bathrooms hallways, library, admin area etc of approximately 10,000 sq ft.  Planned maximum capacity of 200 children.

Kitchen – common to both pre-school and Fellowship Hall

Fellowship Hall – comfortably seats approximately 150 adults also usable by pre-school children. Estimated at 2,500 sq ft.

 

Phase 2 – New Sanctuary

 

Accommodates 750 to 800 plus church administrative offices.  Current Sanctuary is preserved as chapel.

 

Phase 3 – Education Building + Academy Expansion (K-12)

 

Building for Sunday school, Youth center, Senior center, extension of Fellowship hall (may replace original Fellowship Hall).  May be attached to new Sanctuary.  Should accommodate approximately 300 adults/youths.

 

Expansion of Academy to include K-12.  Will accommodate an additional 400 K-12 students.
